چکیده
Purpose: To elucidate the effect of leonurine on proliferation, invasion, migration, and angiogenetic potential breast cancer cells. Methods: Human cell line (MDA-MB-231) normal line, (SK-BR-3) were cultured. Both lines treated with 200, 400, or 800 μM cultured for 0 (control), 24, 48, 72 h. Cell counting kit-8 (CCK8) colony formation assays performed to measure viability proliferation. Invasion migration evaluated using in vitro invasion wound healing assays, respectively, while angiogenesis was by branching point structures. Furthermore, phosphorylation PI3K, AKT, mTOR assessed Western blot. viability, further investigated media including 740Y-P, leonurine, plus 740Y-P. Results: Leonurine inhibited proliferation cells weakened a dose-dependent manner (p < 0.05). repressed PI3K/AKT/mTOR pathway reducing mTOR. also progression Conclusion: inhibits inhibiting pathway, is thus, agent management cancer.

Wogonoside inhibits angiogenesis in breast cancer via suppressing Wnt/β-catenin pathway.
Wogonoside, a main flavonoid component derived from the root of Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi, has been reported to have anti-angiogenesis and anti-leukemia activities. However, whether it can inhibit tumor angiogenesis is unclear. In this study, we investigate the inhibitory effect of wogonoside on angiogenesis in breast cancer and its underlying mechanisms. ELISA assay shows that wogonoside ...
متن کاملLuteolin inhibits progestin-dependent angiogenesis, stem cell-like characteristics, and growth of human breast cancer xenografts
PURPOSE Clinical trials and epidemiological evidence have shown that combined estrogen/progestin hormone replacement therapy, but not estrogen therapy alone, increases breast cancer risk in post-menopausal women. Previously we have shown that natural and synthetic progestins, including the widely used synthetic progestin medroxyprogesterone acetate (MPA), increase production of a potent angioge...
متن کاملLong non-coding RNA FOXO1 inhibits lung cancer cell growth through down-regulating PI3K/AKT signaling pathway
Objective(s): Lung cancer is one of the most common malignant tumors, which seriously threatens the health and life of the people. Recently, a novel long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) termed lncFOXO1 was found and investigated in breast cancer. However, the effect of lncFOXO1 on lung cancer is still ambiguous. The current study aimed to uncover the functions of lncFOXO1 in l...
متن کاملMatrine inhibits breast cancer growth via miR-21/PTEN/Akt pathway in MCF-7 cells.
BACKGROUND Matrine is one of the major alkaloids extracted from Sophora flavescens and has been used clinically for breast cancer with notable therapeutic efficacy in China. However, the mechanisms are still largely unknown. METHODS Cell viability was analyzed by MTT assay. After MCF-7 cells were treated with matrine for 48h, apoptosis was detected by flow cytometry, TUNEL assay and transmiss...
متن کاملSimvastatin Inhibits Renal Cancer Cell Growth and Metastasis via AKT/mTOR, ERK and JAK2/STAT3 Pathway
Renal cell carcinoma (RCC) is the most lethal type of genitourinary cancer due to its occult onset and resistance to chemotherapy and radiation. Recently, accumulating evidence has suggested stains, inhibitors of 3-hydroxy-3-methyl glutaryl coenzyme A (HMG-CoA) reductase, were associated with the risk reduction of cancer. In the present study, we aimed to investigate the potential effects of si...
